01/21/2010 CMR Data Release 24.0 is now available: 150 new genomes have been added to the CMR.

02/07/2007 CMR Data Release 21.0 is now available: 44 new genomes have been added to the CMR.
10/06/2006 CMR Data Release 20.0 is now available: 34 new genomes have been added to the CMR.
9/27/2006 CMR Website Version 3.0 is now available: We have a new look and feel for the CMR in our Website Version 3.0. A new header with drop down menus has been added. In addition, we now have a CMR Manual and CMR Tutorial to help users orient themselves to the new navigation. Several search options have been added to both the CMR Home Page and the individual genome pages. Additional tools in this release include the KEGG Pathway Display, which displays KEGG pathway maps colored by the presence of genes with matching EC #s for selected organisms.
4/18/2006 CMR Data Release 19.0 is now available: Twenty-nine new genomes have been added to the CMR. New datatypes added in this release of the data include RNA calls from the sequencing center annotation (previously we only had TIGR automated RNA calls), and the inclusion of the GenBank accession and version numbers for each of the DNA molecules in the CMR (i.e., CP000235.1).
1/18/2006 CMR Data Release 18.0 is now available: Fourty-five new genomes have been added to the CMR.
12/22/2005 CMR Website Version 2.3 released: New pages available on the CMR: Changes to the CMR include a new version of Genome Properties. New features include filtering results by statistical methods and comparing genome regions by a particular genome property step.
11/08/2005 CMR Website Version 2.2 released: New pages available on the CMR: New additions to the CMR include the Genome Cart and Gene Cart. Selection boxes for many of the tools on the CMR can be populated with a list of preselected genomes chosen in the Genome Cart. Genes can be added to the Gene Cart from any page resulting in gene lists. Genes in the gene cart will be highlighted in analyses and tools.
9/26/2005 CMR Data Release 17.0 is now available: Twenty-four new genomes have been added to the CMR.
9/26/2005 CMR Website Version 2.1 released: New pages available on the CMR: New versions of the Genome Alignment (MUMmer) tool and the Genome v/s Genome Protein Hits tool have been released. A new Graphical Representation has been added to the Gene Page.
5/12/2005 CMR Data Release 16.0 is now available: Fourty-six new genomes have been added to the CMR.
5/4/2005 CMR Website Version 2.0 released: The latest update of the CMR website has been released: TIGR announces the release of an updated CMR website, currently in beta testing. The CMR has been extensively updated and now offers many new functions.
2/25/2005 CMR Data Release 15.3 is now available: Three new genomes have been added to the CMR: TIGR's Myxococcus xanthus DK 1622, Silicibacter pomeroyi DSS-3, and Staphylococcus epidermidis RP62A
12/12/2004 CMR Data Release 15.2 is now available: Six new genomes have been added to the CMR: TIGR's Dehalococcoides ethenogenes 195, Listeria monocytogenes 1/2a F6854, Listeria monocytogenes 4b F2365, Listeria monocytogenes 4b H7858, Methylococcus capsulatus Bath, and SARS coronavirus Tor2 (not sequenced at TIGR)
10/15/2004 CMR Data Release 15.1 is now available: TIGR's Mycobacterium smegmatis MC2 has been added to the CMR.
9/13/2004 CMR Data Release 15.0 is now available: Six new genomes not sequenced at TIGR have been added to the CMR: Leptospira interrogans serovar Copenhageni Fiocruz, Methanococcus maripaludis S2, Nanoarchaeum equitans Kin4-M, Parachlamydia sp. 8/5/2004 CMR Data Release 14.1 is now available: TIGR's Burkholderia mallei ATCC:23344 has been added to the CMR.
5/28/2004 CMR Data Release 14.0 is now available: Ten new genomes have been added to the CMR: TIGR's Bacillus anthracis strain A2012 and Bacillus cereus ATCC 10987, as well as eight genomes not sequenced at TIGR: Bdellovibrio bacteriovorus HD100, Corynebacterium diphtheriae NCTC13129, Lactobacillus johnsonii NCC 533, Mycobacterium avium paratuberculosis, Mycoplasma mycoides SC PG1, Phytoplasma asteris Onion Yellows strain, Rhodopseudomonas palustris CGA009, and Synechococcus sp. WH 8102.
4/30/2004 CMR Website Version 1.6 released: Genome Properties: Links to the Genome Properties system are now available. Genome Properties provides information on the characteristics of organisms derived from genomic data and literature sources. Genome Properties is designed to provide information about the context of gene functions and to be a resource for Comparative Genomics.

3/15/2004 CMR Data Release 13.0 is now available: Fourteen new genomes added to the CMR, TIGR's Desulfovibrio vulgaris Hildenborough as well as thirteen other genomes have been added to the CMR: Bordetella bronchiseptica RB50, Blochmannia floridanus, Bordetella parapertussis 12822, Bordetella pertussis Tohama I, Chlamydia pneumoniae TW-183, Chromobacterium violaceum ATCC12472, Gloeobacter violaceus PCC7421, Haemophilus ducreyi 35000HP, Photorhabdus luminescens TTO1, Prochlorococcus marinus CCMP1378 MED4, Prochlorococcus marinus CCMP1375, Prochlorococcus marinus MIT9313, Vibrio vulnificus YJ016.

5/2/2003 CMR Data Release 10.1 is now available: One new genome added to the CMR, TIGR's newly published Bacillus anthracis Ames is now available on the CMR.
4/14/2003 CMR Data Release 10.0 is now available: Nine new genomes added to the CMR, TIGR's Wolbachia sp. and Pseudomonas syringae DC3000 as well as seven other genomes have been added to the CMR: Corynebacterium efficiens YS-314, Streptococcus agalactiae NEM316, Streptococcus mutans UA159, Wigglesworthia glossinidia brevipalpis, Bifidobacterium longum NCC2705, Leptospira interrogans serovar lai str. 56601, and Shigella flexneri 2a str. 301.
12/11/2002 CMR Data Release 9.0 is now available: Seven new genomes added to the CMR, TIGR's newly published Pseudomonas putida KT2440 and six other genomes have been added to the CMR: Clostridium acetobutylicum ATCC824, Buchnera aphidicola Sg, Streptococcus pyogenes MGAS315, Yersinia pestis KIM, Thermosynechococcus elongatus BP-1, and Oceanobacillus iheyensis HTE831.
10/1/2002 CMR Data Release 8.1 is now available: New genome added to CMR, TIGR's newly published Brucella suis 1330 has been added to the CMR.
9/9/2002 CMR Website Version 1.5 released: Pages showing Gene Ontology (GO) assignments for select genomes have been added to the CMR.
8/28/2002 CMR Data Release 8.0 is now available: Thirteen new genomes have been added to the CMR, TIGR's Streptococcus agalactiae 2603V/R, and Shewanella oneidensis, as well as the following genomes not sequenced at TIGR: Corynebacterium glutamicum, Fusobacterium nucleatum, Streptococcus pyogenes MGAS8232, Methanopyrus kandleri AV19, Methanosarcina acetivorans str. C2A, Methanosarcina mazei Goe1, Streptomyces coelicolor, Thermoanaerobacter tengcongensis, Xanthomonas campestris, Xanthomonas axonopodis, and Staphylococcus aureus MW2.

6/24/2002 CMR Data Release 7.0 is now available: Ten new genomes have been added to the CMR, Agrobacterium tumefaciens C58 Dupont, Clostridium perfringens, Nostoc sp. PCC 7120, Pyrobaculum aerophilum IM2, Pyrococcus furiosus DSM 3638, Rickettsia conorii, Ralstonia solanacearum, Salmonella enterica serovar Typhi, Sulfolobus tokodaii, and Yersinia pestis.
5/17/2002 TIGR's Annotation Engine:TIGR is offering a new service to the community funded by The U.S. Department of Energy called The Annotation Engine, through which TIGR will provide automated annotation of another center's prokaryotic sequence as well as tools for further analysis. TIGR is also offering a three day course in Prokaryotic Annotation and Analysis to familiarize users with TIGR's prokaryotic annotation tools and the analyses available on the Comprehensive Microbial Resource (CMR).
3/18/2002 CMR Data Release 6.0 is now available: Five new genomes added to the CMR, Agrobacterium tumefaciens C58 Cereon, Sinorhizobium meliloti, Brucella melitensis, Listeria innocua, and Listeria monocytogenes EGD-e have all been added to the CMR.
3/18/2002 CMR Website Version 1.3 released: New Gene Page features: New features have been added to the Gene Page, including displays for RBS, terminator, and membrane protein data. Look for the new options off of the Gene Page menu: example.
11/8/2001 CMR Data Release 5.0 is now available: New genome added to the CMR, Salmonella typhimurium LT2 has been added to the CMR.
10/12/2001 CMR Data Release 4.0 is now available: New genome added to the CMR, Streptococcus pneumoniae R6 has been added to the CMR.
8/9/2001 CMR Website Version 1.2 released: The CMR Content Page has been added, view summary information on the data displayed in the CMR.
7/20/2001 CMR Data Release 3.2 is now available: New genome added to the CMR, TIGR's newly published Streptococcus pneumoniae TIGR4 has been added to the CMR.
6/8/2001 CMR Data Release 3.1 is now available: Two new genomes added to the CMR, Mycoplasma pulmonis UAB CTIP and a pre-publication version of TIGR's Porphyromonas gingivalis W83 have been added to the CMR. Because Porphyromonas gingivalis W83 is a pre-published genome only the near-final annotation is currently displayed. The locus names and coordinates shown on the CMR today may change when the final version of the annotation is loaded.
5/31/2001 CMR Data Release 3.0 is now available: Five new genomes added to the CMR, Sulfolobus solfataricus P2, Escherichia coli O157:H7 (VT2-Sakai), Staphylococcus aureus N315, Staphylococcus aureus Mu50 and a pre-publication version of TIGR's Staphylococcus aureus COL have been added to the CMR. Because Staphylococcus aureus COL is a pre-published genome only the near-final annotation is currently displayed. The locus names and coordinates shown on the CMR today may change when the final version of the annotation is loaded.
5/4/2001 CMR Data Release 2.1 is now available: Two new genomes added to the CMR, Streptococcus pyogenes M1 and a pre-publication version of TIGR's Enterococcus faecalis V583 have been added to the CMR. Because Enterococcus faecalis is a pre-published genome only the near-final annotation is currently displayed. The locus names and coordinates shown on the CMR today may change when the final version of the annotation is loaded.
5/1/2001 CMR Website Version 1.1 released: Redesign of the Genome Analyses: The Genome Analyses tools have recently been redesigned. The user now has many more options for all of the tools, including the ability to select P value, % similarity and % identity cutoff points. The tools also now include tables of data that are downloadable to your local disk as well as graphical displays. In addition you now have the option to see data on "Total Protein Hits" or "Best Protein Hits" for all of the analyses that use all v/s all protein blast data. Examples of Genome Analyses include a GC Plot, a 2D gel, GC Comparisons across genomes and a Levels of Paralogy display.
4/5/2001 CMR Data Release 2.0 is now available: Six new genomes added to the CMR, Bacillus halodurans C-125, Caulobacter crescentus CB15, Escherichia coli O157:H7, Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis IL1403, Mycobacterium leprae TN and Pasteurella multocida PM70.
